Carnage (2011)

Directed by: Roman Polanski
Country: USA

Plot: Two pairs of parents hold a cordial meeting after their sons are involved in a fight, though as their time together progresses, increasingly childish behavior throws the evening into chaos.
Quick comment: In the beginning, I really felt interested in this very peculiar gathering of 4 disturbed parents. However, the curious dialogs and tense behaviors suddenly became hysterically exaggerated. It was a shame that such a good and promising idea had been hampered by these constant variations.
Relevant Awards: Little Golden Lion award at the Venice Film Festival, Italy.

  1. I really liked it, especially for the awesome performances from the actors. Well, maybe Jodie Foster overacted a little bit, but that's just Jodie foster...
As a viewer I also didn't loose the interest in the plot either. It gets us thinking about how sometimes we opt to act "politically correct" in many situations.

PS: I would like to make a suggestion. Can you add something to your site where your readers could suggest a movie they would like to view reviewed? Someone might like to know your opinion about a specific movie they just saw. Of course you would be completely free to simply not do it.
    Just a thought.
